Our story began in 2014 in this originally family-owned house, which was unoccupied, until one of the family members decided to turn it into a guesthouse with 2 rooms initially.
"Canelya" was first the guesthouse, then the creation of a garden-restaurant and a promotional space, on land that was then uncultivated (photo opposite).
These are places in constant evolution, with adjustments made over the months and years, depending on desires and available resources. The promotion of Africa is the common thread of this place, with materials, objects, and decoration far from what is imported, industrial, without history, and without benefit to local workers.
